As of August 2024, Inside Out 2 has achieved impressive box office success, grossing over $1.6 billion globally. The film became the first movie of 2024 to surpass the $1 billion mark, reaching this milestone just 19 days after its release in June. Its strong performance has made it not only one of the highest-grossing films of the year but also one of the most successful animated films of all time

Inside Out 2 has overtaken Frozen II to become the highest-grossing animation of all time. Pixar’s sequel to its 2015 smash about emotions battling for primacy inside the head of a preteen girl has taken $1.46bn (£1.13bn) over its first six weeks of release; Disney’s follow-up to its wintry hit took $1.45bn (£1.12bn) over its entire theatrical run in 2019.
